Course Overview

As emissions standards continue to evolve, precise control of aftertreatment systems is essential for diesel engine compliance. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the key components—Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), and Ammonia Slip Catalyst (ASC)—and the control parameters that govern their performance. Through detailed sessions, learners will gain the knowledge needed to optimize system behavior during engine calibration and reduce harmful emissions effectively.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the function and role of each major diesel aftertreatment device in emissions reduction.
  • Identify key control parameters for DOC, DPF, SCR, and ASC systems during engine calibration.
  • Apply system-level knowledge to improve emissions compliance and optimize aftertreatment performance.

Who Should Attend?

  • Emissions and calibration engineers working on diesel engine platforms.
  • Powertrain and systems engineers involved in aftertreatment integration and testing.
  • Engineering students and professionals seeking a deeper understanding of emissions control technologies.
