Maintenance Lubrication Fundamentals

Machinery lubrication is often overlooked, yet it's one of the most critical factors in achieving equipment and operations reliability. This course covers lubrication theory, lubricant selection, application techniques, and condition monitoring, all within the context of a proactive maintenance strategy. Participants will leave with the tools to reduce failures, extend asset life, and align lubrication practices with broader reliability goals.  Optional: this course is considered a qualifying course towards the Level 1 Machinery Lubrication Technician certification (MLT1).

Learning Outcomes:

  • Select and apply the right lubricants for various machine types and operating environments.
  • Design and implement lubrication strategies that support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Manage lubricant storage, application systems, and contamination control to maximize equipment uptime.

Who Should Attend:

  • Maintenance and asset managers responsible for equipment reliability.
  • Reliability engineers and CMMS coordinators seeking to optimize lubrication practices.
  • Technicians and maintenance leads involved in hands-on lubrication and system upkeep.
