This course examines concepts of the 2021 International Residential Code (IRC) that provide the basis for design and construction of single-family homes, duplexes and townhouses. A clear understanding of minimum requirements allows a designer to prepare drawings that will receive permit approval, and the plan reviewer and inspector to apply the IRC for construction.
