Joan Hawley
PRESIDENT
Joan B. Hawley, P.E. is a professional operator and operations and maintenance focusing on Capacity, Management, Operations and Maintenance (CMOM) programs including: pipeline rehabilitation, inspection, and cleaning, condition assessment, operation & maintenance (O&M), infiltration/inflow reduction including private property and Asset Management (AM) programs for collection systems and water resource recovery facilities. She is a licensed collection systems operator and a wastewater operator.
Adrien Comeau
Adrien Comeau, M.Eng., P.Eng. is a Senior Principal - Water and Wet Weather Flow Team Leader at Stantec Consulting and has over 34 years of public and private sector experience in wet weather flow management for urban wastewater collection and treatment systems with a focus on CSO and SSO control, flood risk reduction, I/I remediation, and capacity assurance programs where he has been engaged in the planning, design and implementation of a wide range of related projects. His experience includes project management and technical leadership, from concept development through to design and commissioning on projects such as storage/conveyance tunnels, CSO/SSO tanks, pumping facilities and the implementation of real time control systems on wastewater collection systems.
Adrien received his undergraduate degree from the Technical University of Nova Scotia (Dalhousie University) and his Master of Engineering (Environmental and Water Resources) from the University of Ottawa.
Adrien has also been a member of WEF’s Collection Systems Committee since 2012 and is an active participant on the Committee’s I/I and Modeling Task Groups where he has recently chaired the development of a WEF published Fact Sheet on I/I Modeling and has, over the last 12 years, helped coordinate and facilitate a series of WEF workshops at both the WEFTEC and Collection Systems Conferences.
