Dr. Cynthia West is currently a lecturer for the Master of Engineering Management (MEM) program, teaching EPD 614 “Marketing for Technical Professionals”. Dr. West earned her Doctor of Education from the University of Minnesota, Duluth Minnesota; her Master of Arts in Education from St. Catherine University, St. Paul, Minnesota; and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota—with an emphasis in marketing.

Previously, Cynthia was with Upper Iowa University and taught core marketing courses.

Dr. West has extensive experience in corporate finance and telecommunication systems. Cynthia developed and administered a telecommunication commercial loan portfolio for St. Paul Bank for Cooperatives, St. Paul, Minnesota, and was an Assistant Vice President in Special Industries at First Bank National Association, Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was responsible for the business development and marketing of this new division as well as developing commercial loan packages specific to the telecommunication industry. Cynthia was a New Product Development Manager for US West Communications responsible for identifying central office, voice, and data product offerings for the Midwest region. Cynthia also managed a sales team as a National Account Executive for the banking, medical, and retail industries.
