The Wayne Pferdehirt Memorial Scholarship Fund honors the impact and legacy of Wayne Pferdehirt, a beloved faculty associate and former director of the online Master of Science in Engineering Management (MEM) program at UW–Madison.
Wayne was a passionate advocate for mentoring and service, and this scholarship supports students who share those values. The $2,500 scholarship—made possible through the generosity of donors to the fund—is awarded each semester to students in the MEM program who demonstrate a strong commitment to mentorship, community service, and engineering excellence.
Eligibility Highlights:
- Open to Wisconsin residents and non-residents
- Available to current MEM students with good academic standing and prospective students (must apply to MEM)
- Preference for those with limited funding, working in nonprofit roles, or making late-career transitions
