Work Zone and Flagger Safety will cover the setup and use of approved temporary traffic control devices in a variety of typical situations, including work on the shoulder, on a two-lane road, on a multi-lane road, and during mobile operations.

Learn how to calibrate salt and sand spreaders, and minimize the cost of your salt and its environmental impact. Hands-on equipment calibrations will illustrate how to properly operate and maintain your equipment.

Learn practical information and procedures for snow and ice control on local roads. You will also have an opportunity to share ideas with and learn from others who attend the workshop.

Wisconsin Information System for Local Roads (WISLR) is a web based system that Wisconsin local governments use to submit local road data and pavement condition ratings. WISLR can also map road conditions and provide suggested 5-year plans for maintenance and rehabilitation to assist local decision-making. WISLR uses PASER pavement condition ratings, road data, deterioration projections and locally supplied budget information to produce recommendations.
