Course Overview
This course guides participants through the complete process of building effective asset maintenance strategies, from foundational planning to advanced failure analysis. Engineers will learn to apply FMEA and RCM techniques to identify failure modes, optimize preventive maintenance, and align strategies with business goals. By the end, attendees will be equipped to reduce downtime, improve safety, and justify maintenance investments to leadership.
Learning Outcomes
- Apply FMEA, PMO, and RCM methodologies to develop efficient, failure-based maintenance strategies.
- Identify and eliminate non-value-added maintenance tasks to reduce costs and improve reliability.
- Build and refine asset hierarchies, criticality assessments, and job task procedures aligned with operational goals.
Who Should Attend?
- Reliability, maintenance, and safety engineers seeking to improve asset performance and reduce failure risk.
- Project and manufacturing engineers responsible for integrating maintenance strategies into design and operations.
- Quality and process professionals involved in FMEA implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Additional Information
This course is a revision of the previously titled PMO Optimization and Using FMEA and RCM to Reduce Equipment Failure courses. Considerable changes were made to help ensure the very latest innovations and knowledge were reflected in this revision.
This course is part of the Maintenance and Reliability Management Certificate. Enhance your maintenance skills while earning a recognized credential.
