Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) Credentialing Course

This official training equips engineers and infrastructure professionals with a deep understanding of the Envision framework—a powerful tool for evaluating and improving project sustainability. Through real-world examples and structured guidance, participants will learn how to apply Envision across the project lifecycle, from planning to verification. Completion of this training qualifies participants to take the ENV SP exam and earn a credential that is increasingly recognized across the industry.

This is an official training to become an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP). This training is required before being eligible to take the ENV SP exam and receive the highly valued credential.

This course is a live online training. Participants are required to attend live to be eligible to take the ENV SP exam (participants will not be allowed to watch recordings to obtain credit for attendance).

Adib Amini

Adib Amini, Ph.D., PE, ENV SP, BCEE serves as Program Director in the College of Engineering’s Office of Interdisciplinary Professional Programs, with a focus on Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, and Sustainability. Dr. Amini also works with cities and industries as an engineering consultant, with experience in both drinking water and wastewater treatment. Dr. Amini has expertise in sustainability, engineering design, technology innovation, and renewable energy. Dr. Amini’s work has included the design of novel technologies, including on-site energy systems at facilities. He spearheaded the designs for the first wastewater treatment facilities in Iowa that are 100% powered by on-site renewable energy systems. Dr. Amini invented a novel system for ventilation of rated spaces, such as wastewater headworks buildings, for which he holds a provisional patent. Dr. Amini also has performed award-winning research in technology innovation and sustainability. Dr. Amini has spoken widely at conferences on topics related to water/wastewater treatment, sustainability, PFAS, on-site energy systems, and resilient infrastructure.

Jennifer Ninete

Jennifer Ninete, ENV SP, STP is the Director of Engagement at ISI. In this role, Jennifer leads the Engagement Program, which encompasses all communications, marketing, and business development activities. She is an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) and ISI approved Envision Trainer.

Jennifer has worked in the AEC industry for nearly 25 years. She was previously a senior sustainability consultant and Professional Associate at HDR where she was the primary knowledge manager for the Envision® sustainable infrastructure framework, which included ENV SP training, leading a team conducting project verifications, and managing Envision projects. During that time, she worked on more than 50 projects using the Envision framework, including 25 verified projects such as the Historic Fourth Ward Park in Atlanta, Georgia; Kansas City Streetcar in Kansas City, Missouri; and the Ship Canal Water Quality Project in Seattle, Washington. Prior to that she worked for both architecture and construction firms in marketing, business development, and communications roles across a range of market sectors.

Jennifer has a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
