Course Overview

Maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) inventory must be well-managed and organized to minimize ordering and storage costs, and more importantly, unplanned downtime due to a stockout of an MRO item. The risks and costs associated with unplanned machine downtime is a key consideration for establishing inventory quantities. MRO best practices will be presented along with methods for closing gaps. The course includes a case study of a company improving its on-hand availability of MRO parts, while reducing on-hand inventory from $14 million to $2 million in less than 2 years.
