This course explores the foundational principles of TPM and focuses on two critical pillars—Planned Maintenance and Autonomous Maintenance—to help organizations achieve high equipment utilization and reliability. Instructors
Brian Hronchek
Brian Hronchek is a Purdue University Aerospace Engineering graduate and a retired Marine Corps Captain with extensive experience in training, operations, and leadership. He holds several professional certifications, including CMRP, REC from Clemson University, and ISO CAT II Vibration Analyst. Brian specializes in reliability engineering, maintenance planning, and business process development, focusing on mentoring and empowering individuals to build high-performing organizations. His career spans the oil and gas and steel industries, as well as predictive technology services, leading to his current role as a principal trainer and consultant. He actively shares his insights through LinkedIn articles, professional lectures, and mentoring Purdue students. Passionate about knowledge sharing, Brian believes that “wealth is created through the transfer of knowledge” and is dedicated to helping others grow.
George Williams
George is the founder and CEO of ReliabilityX and a recognized leader in the field of maintenance and reliability. He holds a master’s degree in reliability engineering from Monash University and began his career in maintenance while still in high school, working alongside his father. George spent 16 years with a major pharmaceutical company, advancing from technician to global asset management leader. His team earned the prestigious Uptime Award for Best Maintenance and Reliability Program in 2015. A Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) and Certified Reliability Leader, George was named CMRP of the Year by the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals in 2016. He also holds certifications in vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound, motion amplification, and plant maintenance management. A published author and experienced educator, George has been teaching maintenance and reliability courses for UW–Madison Interdisciplinary Professional Programs since 2010.
