Recent Trends in Self-Cleaning and Lubricated Surfaces

May 26, 2020

Self-cleaning materials and surfaces have the potential to transform how we use a range of products and to potentially extend the lifetimes of those products as well. In this TechTalk@UWEPD, Dr. Nicole Zacharia will discuss some of these types of surfaces—including hydrophobic surfaces, generally repellant surfaces, and lubricated surfaces. This will include some current research trends in these areas as well as challenges faced by integrating these surfaces into real world usage.
