Each summer, the Master of Engineering: Engine Systems (MEES) program offers a summer residency in Madison, Wisconsin, in order to give the students in our online programs an opportunity to meet and interact with each other, in person, while participating in a variety of learning and social events.
Unfortunately, COVID-19 and its associated social-distancing requirements has thwarted our efforts to bring students together in person (on the Terrace!), but it has not stopped MEES from invoking the spirit of our traditional, in-person residencies. This summer’s one-day online conference on Friday, Aug. 7, 2020 brings our students together, in an online learning environment, to focus on “What’s the Future of Engines?”
Live Event: Friday, Aug. 7 (All times CDT)
At this residency, we’ll have the opportunity to:
- Explore ways to apply and extend the MEES learning objectives in practice
- Learn about courses, instructors, and UW services
- Meet up as one big MEES family—to connect and support one another
