This course will provide an introduction of typical light rail and commuter rail traction power systems. A great introduction for those new to the topic and also for those who will be taking the full 2-day Fundamentals of Traction Power Systems and Overhead Contact Systems course.

This is a recorded on-demand on-line course.

Upon completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Understand power feeding schemes and operational considerations
  • Understand the pantograph’s interface to the OCS

His expertise extends to overhead contact systems, traction power systems, training, maintenance, and operations. Moises has delivered systems engineering services to prominent entities such as Caltrain, RTD-Denver, Amtrak, SEPTA, MBTA, LA Metro, Trimet, Sound Transit, and DART. His skill set encompasses construction estimating, intricate construction staging, and constructability logistics, acquired through a career that includes being a systems contractor and owner's representative for multiple transit authorities across North America.
