Course Overview
This course builds on understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE) from course RA01846 Introduction to Design of Experiments (or equivalent foundational background) through the analysis of example problems using Minitab software.
Specifically, students will be guided through the Minitab analysis of two problems, one a full-factorial design and the other a fractional-factorial design, including setup, analysis, refinement, model verification, graphing, and optimization.
Course Goals:
- Use Minitab to analyze two-level factorial experiments (full and fractional)
- Use Minitab to calculate and interpret the effects of process variables on process performance
- Use Minitab to determine an efficient regression (prediction) model for process performance
- Use Minitab to generate graphs of the experimental results
Course Outline
Module 1: Factorial Design of Experiments in Minitab
Module 2: Fractional Factorial Design of Experiments in Minitab
